Launching Our E-shop, We Are Happy to Collaborate with Child Care Thailand!

For the launch of our e-shop we have been looking for a charity to donate 10% of our proceeds to. What was most important for us was to find a charity that was transparent in which you can donate money to and be sure that your donations go directly to the cause. I remember being very disappointed as a child when I donated to the WWF and they had spent my hard earned cash on buying a copy machine instead of going to the animal rescues.

With Child Care Thailand every move is documented online, they don’t even take out salaries. We will be supporting 5 houses in Thailand. 2 orphanages, 1 orphanage for children with disabilities and 2 houses for children and adults struggling with HIV and AIDS.

The process is that the CCT team fill up containers with supplies in Norway containing clothes, toys and equipment for disabled children if found. In Thailand they buy everything from food, mattresses to table fans; anything the orphanages need to make life more pleasant for the children.

From Norway to Thailand

After a long haul, the CCT team waits for the containers to arrive at the docks in Thailand, sometimes even for days out of their own expense. Then stocking the supplies into vans that go directly to the different houses where they are distributed. CCT pay for their own plane tickets and they do not distribute direct cash to the houses. They buy the supplies and deliver them.

So with great joy we are gladly donating 10% of proceeds of The Selectist e-shop to Child Care Thailand and you can also help them directly on their website ccthai.org.
